ONLINE CHECK-IN
For most bookings, you can check in online - it's easy, fast and free.
There are some exceptions to online check-in. If any of the following apply to your booking, you’ll need to check in at the airport:
Check in online – you’ll need your booking reference number (it’s on your itinerary) and your passport details if you’re flying international.
If you don’t have checked baggage, you can check in online, get your boarding pass and go straight to the boarding gate.
If you do have checked baggage, you can still check in online – but your bags must be at the Jetstar bag drop before check-in closes.
Even if you have checked in online. please make sure you arrive at the airport with plenty of time before check-in closes. You have to allow enough time to drop your bags (if any), get your boarding passes, clear security and get to your gate, which might be some distance away.
If you’re not at the boarding gate on time, you won’t be able to board your flight and you may lose your fare in full.
For domestic flights in Australia and New Zealand, if you’ve purchased a seat, online check-in opens 28 days before your flight and closes 35 minutes before your flight departs.
If you haven’t purchased a seat on a domestic flight in Australia or New Zealand, online check-in opens two days before your flight and closes 35 minutes before your flight departs.
For domestic flights in Japan, online check-in opens seven days before your flight, and closes 35 minutes before your flight departs.
For domestic flights in Vietnam, online check-in open two days before your flight, and closes one hour before your flight departs.
If you’re flying domestic from an international terminal, you’ll need to visit the check-in counter to present identification and collect your boarding pass before check-in closes. Please check your itinerary to see which airport and terminal your flight will depart from. You'll need to be at the airport earlier if your flight departs from an international terminal.
See: When to get to the airport for domestic flights?
For your convenience, online check-in is available on selected international flights.
Online check-in for Jetstar Airways (JQ) flights opens two days before your flight and closes two hours before departure.
Online check-in for Jetstar Asia (3K) and Jetstar Japan (GK) flights will open seven days before your flight and closes two hours before departure.
If online check-in is available and you don’t have baggage, visa or entry requirements, you may be able to head straight to the boarding gate when you arrive at the airport.
For more information on applicable flights and requirements, see the Straight to Gate international flights page.
If online check-in is not applicable, you need to check in at the airport and present identification to collect your boarding pass before check-in closes.

JETSTAR PACIFIC
CHECKED BAGGAGE
Jetstar Starter fares include a 7kg carry-on baggage allowance. If you think you’ll need more, you can add 3kg to your carry-on baggage allowance or add as much checked baggage allowance as you need between 15kg and 40kg.
Add checked baggage allowance to an existing booking.
Adding baggage: How and when do I add checked baggage?
You can add checked baggage when you book, after you book or at the airport. It’s cheapest to buy it when you book. If you change your mind, you can still add baggage in Manage booking for a slightly higher price. Adding it at the airport is the most expensive option.
Prices: How much does checked baggage cost?
Checked baggage prices vary by route. Prices are cheapest when you purchase a checked baggage allowance online, and most expensive at the airport. We recommend you add checked baggage to your booking before arriving at the airport. Add checked baggage to an existing booking.
Limits: How much? How heavy? How big?
Each passenger can purchase up to 40kg of checked baggage. No individual item can weigh more than 32kg. Any baggage item longer than one metre in any direction is considered an oversized item, for which a handling fee applies on top of the weight allowance purchased (see below). View full baggage limits.
Oversized baggage: How big can checked baggage be?
Traveling with large items? Handling fees apply to items longer than one metre in any direction. This handling fee applies on top of your purchased baggage weight. Exclusions apply.
Learn about oversized baggage.
Some of our bundles include checked baggage. Our Starter Plus bundles include 20kg checked baggage allowance (10kgs on domestic flights in Japan), while our Starter Max bundles and Business Class fares include a checked baggage allowance of 30kg. Full details
Read our policies on prohibited items; dangerous goods; seafood, meat and frozen products; and liquids, aerosols, gels and powders. We recommend you don't pack fragile items, valuables and medication in your checked baggage.
Travelling with infants, children or with a wheelchair? Some items can be checked in for free and don’t count towards your weight allowance. (Size and weight restrictions apply.) Full details on checking in strollers and wheelchairs.
HAND BAGGAGE
There are strict weight and size limits to how much carry-on baggage you can bring on board:
Your main item must fit in the overhead lockers and be no larger than 56cm (height) x 36cm (width) x 23cm (depth). Your small item must fit under the seat in front of you. If you exceed either size or weight limits, charges will apply at the airport.
For carry-on baggage details see: Carry-on baggage – what can I bring on board?
Make sure you’re aware of prohibited carry-on baggage items, and if you’re flying internationally, the limitations on liquids, aerosols, gels and powders for International and some domestic flights.
BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
That depends on what kind of fare or bundle you’ve purchased – see below for details. Even if baggage is included, you have the option of buying extra baggage allowance if you need it.
The cheapest and fastest way to buy checked baggage is when you book. If you’ve already made a booking, you can add baggage at Manage booking. Baggage added after your initial booking will be charged at a higher rate.
Please note: If your itinerary includes Jetstar Airways (JQ), Jetstar Asia (3K) or Jetstar Pacific (BL) flights connecting to Jetstar Japan (GK) domestic flights, the higher baggage allowance will be applied to all flights in the itinerary.
There are some things you may be able to bring as checked baggage for free. If you’re travelling with an infant or young child, you may bring a pram, portable cot, high chair and approved car seat. You may bring a wheelchair if you need one. (Size and weight restrictions apply.)
Baggage allowance weights apply per passenger with a seat, per flight. Your baggage allowance is given by combined weight, not by number of bags. As long as your bags have a combined weight within your allowance, you can bring as many as you like. The maximum checked baggage allowance per person is 40kgs and no single bag can weigh more than 32kg.
Please note that size and weight limits apply for checked baggage.

Your main carry-on bag must fit in the overhead lockers and not exceed 56cm (height) x 36cm (width) x 23cm (depth).
Your small item must fit under the seat in front of you.
The small item you bring on board could be:
Your carry-on baggage may be checked at the boarding gate. If you bring too many items, or they exceed the size or weight limits, the extra baggage will need to be checked in. Charges apply.
Avoid extra baggage charges at the airport by purchasing checked baggage when you book or before you fly at Manage booking.
Some items are prohibited as carry-on baggage so make sure you remove restricted items and don’t forget to check liquids, aerosols, gels and powders if you are flying from an international terminal.
If you need to bring essential medication on your flight, please check our travelling with medication requirements.
On all flights you can bring an approved car seat on board for your infant or child to sit in, in addition to your other carry-on items, free of charge.
If your stroller collapses to our carry-on baggage dimensions (56cm x 23cm x 36cm) and it’s securely packed within a protective cover/bag, then it can be carried on board most Jetstar flights. It will count towards your carry-on baggage allowance.
No single bag or item can weigh more than 32kg. If you have a checked-baggage allowance of 35kg or 40kg your baggage must be split over at least two bags, with no bag weighing more than 32kg.
If any single bag or item weighs more than 32kg it must be carried as freight. See Qantas freight
for freight options. The 32kg limit does not apply to electric wheelchairs and scooters, which may be checked in regardless of weight and will not incur any additional baggage weight or handling fee.
Any bag or item with a single side longer than one metre (1000mm, 39in), including wheels, handles and packaging is oversized. Oversized item handling fees may apply.
The oversized item fee does not apply to oversized assistive devices, mobility aids, medical equipment and infant items.
See Oversized baggage for more information.
The maximum length of any oversized item depends on the type of aircraft. You can find the aircraft type you’re flying on when you book, on the Choose flights page – just open the details link in the flight listing. The aircraft type is also listed on your itinerary. If your trip includes multiple flights and aircraft types, the lowest maximum length applies.

Checked baggage is not included with Economy Starter fares. For other fares, check how much baggage allowance is included.
Remember – the best time to add a baggage allowance is when you book.
If you haven't added baggage and you arrive at the airport with checked baggage, charges will apply.
You'll be charged a fee for up to 15kg of baggage per passenger, and after that for every additional kilo at the per kilo rate. If you have added checked baggage to your booking but arrive with more than your allowance you’ll be charged for excess baggage. Excess baggage is charged per kilo. We can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to add excess baggage to your flight.
Make sure you check our policy for baggage transfers if you have flight connections on your itinerary.

We understand that not everyone’s things fit neatly into a suitcase, however, if you’re bringing large checked baggage items, an oversized item handling fee may apply.
Oversized items will count towards your total checked baggage weight, so make sure you purchase enough checked baggage.
If your oversized item is required for mobility or medical reasons, or you’re bringing a pram or other items for your infant or child, it won’t count as part of your checked baggage weight and you won’t be charged the oversize item fee. See below for details.
Any bag or item with a single side longer than one metre (1000mm, 39in), including wheels, handles and packaging is an oversized item.
You will need to pay the oversized item handling fee for sporting equipment, such as surfboards, skis, fishing rods and golf bags, bikes, large musical instruments and other large items like paintings, statues, televisions, and furniture if they have any side longer than one metre. Any oversized assistive devices, mobility aids, medical equipment and infant items can be checked in for free.
The oversized item fee is a separate handling fee that applies to any item with a single side longer than one metre (1000mm, 39 inches). The oversized item fee does not apply to oversized assistive devices, mobility aids, medical equipment and infant items.
If you choose to bring any oversized items, you pay the fee per item, per flight. Each passenger can bring up to two oversized items.
Remember, the oversized item fee is paid in addition to any checked baggage allowance, it does not increase your baggage allowance.
The easiest way to pay the oversized item fee is to add it to your fare when you purchase checked baggage as part of your booking.
You can also pay the oversized item fee after you book, at Manage booking or through the Call Centre.
It will save you time at the airport if you pay the fee before you arrive.
At the airport you’ll need to pay the fee before you take your items to the oversized baggage counter.
Please note: the oversized item fee is non-refundable.

Make sure you have purchased enough checked baggage allowance to cover both your standard baggage and oversized items. The fee does not apply to mobility and assistive devices, medical equipment and infant items. When traveling on multiple Jetstar carriers, the highest fee will apply.
The weight of your oversized items counts towards your total checked baggage weight. Make sure you purchase enough checked baggage to cover your standard baggage and any oversized items.
Assistive devices, mobility aids, medical equipment and infant items do not count towards your baggage allowance.
No single bag or item can weigh more than 32kg, even if your checked baggage allowance is 35kg or 40kg.
If you have a bag or oversized item that’s heavier than 32kg you’ll have to send it as freight. Contact Qantas Freight for options.
The 32kg weight limit does not apply to mobility aids such as electric wheelchairs, see Mobility aids and assistive devices for details.
The maximum length of any oversized item depends on the type of aircraft. You can find the aircraft type you’re flying on when you book, on the Choose flights page – just open the details link in the flight listing.

A single passenger may accompany two infants. One infant can be nursed on the passenger's lap, but the second infant must have an allocated seat and be sitting up unaided or in an approved car seat. If you’re travelling with more than one infant, please contact us to make your booking.
Infants less than 48 hours old are not permitted to travel on Jetstar flights.
A Jetstar medical clearance form must be completed for infants aged between 3 and 7 days old for them to travel on Jetstar (JQ), Jetstar Asia (3K) and Jetstar Japan (GK) flights. No infant less than 7 days old may travel with Jetstar Pacific (BL).
For more detailed information see: Pregnancy and air travel
Bassinets can be requested on some international flights. See: Can I request a bassinet for my infant?
If you’re travelling with an infant on your lap on a Jetstar Airways (JQ) domestic flight within Australia or New Zealand, or a Jetstar Japan (GK) domestic flight within Japan, you can check in online. To check in with your infant, go to Online check-in.
For now, on all other Jetstar flights, if you're travelling with an infant you can't check in online, you must check in at the airport.
Proof of age, such as a birth certificate or passport, may be required for infants under 2 years. If you don’t provide an acceptable form of identification for the infant upon request at check-in, your infant may not be allowed to travel.
If you’re travelling on an international flight, your infant or child always requires a passport.
We don’t carry infant food or drinks on board, so be sure to bring enough for your journey. It will count towards your carry-on baggage allowance. See: Do I need to bring food and drinks for my infant?
Infants not occupying a seat don’t have a carry-on baggage allowance.
You’ll have to carry any baby items such as food, drink, nappies and clothing needed during your flight as part of your own carry-on baggage allowance.
If your infant has an allocated seat, and is either sitting up unaided or in an approved car seat, their fare includes the standard carry-on baggage allowance.
We know that travelling with infants and small children requires a lot of gear, so we let you carry the following items as checked baggage for free, regardless of fare and in addition to any checked-baggage allowance: a pram or stroller; a portable cot; a highchair; a car seat, baby capsule or booster seat.
See: Can I bring a pram, stroller, portable cot or highchair as checked baggage?
Infants not occupying a seat are not entitled to a checked baggage allowance.
Harnesses and slings are handy at the airport, but their use is restricted on board. See: Can my infant travel in a baby carrier or harness?
For more information see the family travel page
If you’re flying with a child under two, you might have a few questions. Do they need a passport? Do they need their own seat? Do I have to bring baby food? Well, we’re glad you asked!
We hear you – travelling with infants can be a challenge, even for seasoned travellers. It’s hard to talk them out of a tantrum if they don’t know how to talk yet! But if you get prepared and arm yourself with the right information (and a few distraction techniques), the journey can be a whole lot smoother for you and your tiny travellers.
To check in like a pro, make sure you’ve got all the information you need about flying on Jetstar with children.
At Jetstar, children under 2 are considered ‘infants’. Infants less than 48 hours old are not able to travel on Jetstar flights, and a Jetstar medical clearance form must be completed for infants aged between 3 and 7 days old. No infant less than 7 days old may travel with Jetstar Pacific (BL).
If you're travelling with an infant on a domestic flight in Australia, New Zealand or Japan you can check in online, on all other Jetstar flights you need to check in at the airport, so allow yourself plenty of time. At the airport, you will need to provide some documentation. This means a birth certificate for domestic flights. For international flights, they’ll need a passport - just like everyone else.
If your infant can sit up on their own, you can buy them their own seat. If they’re too small to sit up, just bring a car seat to fix into their seat. Just let us know that you need to add a car seat to your booking as there are certain requirements around them and we can only allow so many on board.
Baby food and drinks! Our menu doesn’t include baby food, so BYO your little one’s favourite snacks to keep them satisfied. Remember that any food, drink, nappies and clothing you bring on board will count as part of your own carry-on baggage allowance. If your infant has their own seat, they have their own carry-on baggage allowance.
As long as your collapsible pram fits within your allowance and our size and weight rules, you can use it right up to the gate. Just pop it in a protective cover and bring it on board.
Kids may be small, but boy, do they need some equipment! Strollers, cots, highchairs… that’s why Jetstar lets you check in an extra four items – including a pram or stroller, a portable cot, a highchair, a car seat, baby capsule or booster seat - at no cost, in addition to your checked baggage allowance.
Baby carriers are handy at the airport, but you have to take them off to get through airport security. Once on board, bub will need to be in your lap with their seatbelt fastened when the seatbelt sign is on. If you’re ever unsure of what to bring on board, or how much, just have a look at our handy page on carry-on baggage.
If you take a relaxed approach to checking in and passing through security, your kids will too. And don’t forget, Jetstar staff love to see kids travelling and they’ll make sure your children enjoy the whole journey.
UNACCOMPANIED MINORS
At Jetstar we love welcoming young passengers on board, but we don’t offer an unaccompanied minor service. A young passenger must meet all the relevant requirements listed below and our independent traveller requirements to be able to travel independently.
All passengers aged over 12, but younger than, 18 years old, travelling alone on a Jetstar Asia (3K) flight, or a Jetstar flight connecting to a Jetstar Asia (3K) flight, must:
Download the young passenger declaration form (in English, PDF 0.1MB)
For full details of the process and all requirements, see Young passengers on Jetstar Asia (3K) flights.
The requirements for accompanying passengers for children have also changed for all Jetstar Asia (3K) flights, see Independent travellers and accompanying passengers.
Any young passengers aged 12 and over, but younger than 18, travelling on a Jetstar Airways (JQ), Jetstar Japan (GK) or Jetstar Pacific (BL) flight that connects to a Jetstar Asia (3K) flight must also follow this process from their departure airport.
If two or more passengers, aged 12 and over but younger than 18, are travelling together on a 3K flight, then each passenger will need to complete the process outlined above.
A young passenger is regarded as being able to travel independently if they are currently attending or enrolled in secondary school and:
For a young passenger aged 12 years or over, proof of age can be acceptable as proof of secondary school enrolment, because in Australia and New Zealand, anyone 12 years and over is generally required to be enrolled in secondary school.
So, any of the following forms of identification can be used to verify secondary school attendance or enrolment and must be presented by a young passenger at check-in:
Children who are not yet enrolled in or attending secondary school will be regarded as unable to travel independently and must be accompanied by an appropriate accompanying passenger.
Even if a young passenger meets all the above requirements, a parent or guardian should still assess if the young passenger is independent enough to travel alone on a Jetstar flight, before a booking is made. Jetstar is not able to provide supervision or assistance, because we don't have the systems, staff or facilities to do so. So, if a parent or guardian feels their child needs supervision, they should not book them to travel alone and instead should book them to travel with an accompanying passenger.
See Independent travellers and accompanying passengers for further details.
A young passenger travelling alone on a JQ international flight should meet all the above requirements, always have a valid passport and have a parent or guardian present at all times with them during their check-in.
If no parent or guardian is present at check-in and our staff have reason to believe the young passenger may not have permission from a parent or guardian to travel alone, the young passenger may be refused check-in until permission to travel alone can be confirmed.
For any domestic or international flights operated by Jetstar Pacific (BL), passengers below the age of 12 will not be eligible to travel unless they are accompanied by an appropriate accompanying passenger.
Passengers aged 12 and above may travel alone (subject to meeting our Independent Traveller Requirements). The parents or guardians of a passenger between the ages of 12 and 14 years must complete and sign a declaration at check-in before a passenger between these ages can travel unaccompanied.
For any domestic Japan flights operated by Jetstar Japan (GK) passengers who are 2-11 years of age will not be eligible to travel unless they are accompanied by an appropriate accompanying passenger aged 12 years or older. Infants (under 2 years) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, or an accompanying passenger who is at least 15 years old.
Passengers aged 12 years or above may travel alone (subject to meeting our Independent Traveller Requirements).
For any international flights operated by Jetstar Japan (GK) passengers below the age of 12 will not be eligible to travel unless they are accompanied by an appropriate accompanying passenger who is 15 years or older. PREGNANT PASSENGERS
If you’re pregnant it's important to check a few key things before you book a flight.
There are a few additional things to consider if you’re pregnant and would like to fly with us.
To be safe, the best thing to do is get advice from your own doctor or midwife; they’ll know whether it’s a good idea for you to travel, especially during the later stages of pregnancy.
Whether you’ll be able to fly is also determined by the duration of the flight, what stage of pregnancy you’re in, if you’re expecting one child or more, and/or if you have any pregnancy complications.
Permitted travel
Flights of less than 4 hours |
|
Flights of 4 or more hours: |
|
When you're in the third trimester of your pregnancy (28 weeks or more), remember you must bring specific documentation (see below) from your doctor before you’ll be allowed to fly.
When you reach the third trimester of your pregnancy you aren’t allowed to sit in an exit row seat on board any Jetstar aircraft. This is a safety measure to protect you and your baby, as you might be at risk if you need to operate the heavy exit door during an emergency.
Don’t forget: when you’re travelling internationally some countries limit the entry of non-national pregnant passengers. You must check with the relevant embassy or consulate before you travel, to see if these limitations will apply to you.
Note for Jetstar Pacific (BL), Jetstar Asia (3K) and Jetstar Japan (GK) International passengers
If you’re having an uncomplicated pregnancy and are travelling within your first 28 weeks, you don’t need to bring any pregnancy-related medical documentation.
Carry this document with you at the airport and in your carry-on baggage, as it needs to be available on request.
Please note: when travelling on Japan domestic flights operated by Jetstar Japan (GK), if you're more than 35 weeks pregnant you will need to meet the above requirements for travel.
You’ll need to get a medical clearance if your pregnancy is not routine or has complications. You can find the medical clearance forms here.
Carry this document with you at the airport and in your carry-on baggage, as it must be available on request.
You’ll need to get medical clearance if you’re travelling up to 7 days after giving birth.
Your baby must be at least 48 hours old before they can travel on Jetstar (JQ), Jetstar Asia (3K) and Jetstar Japan (GK) flights. They will need medical clearance to travel between 3 and 7 days after birth.
No infant younger than 7 days old may travel with Jetstar Pacific (BL).
PASSENGERS WITH MEDICAL CONDITIONS / DISABLITIES
If you need to confirm the aircraft type for your flight or if you change your flight details, it’s very important that you contact us before you travel.
Jetstar Airways (JQ) and Jetstar Asia (3K) accept portable oxygen concentrators for carriage and use on board that are authorised by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The carriage of oxygen, portable oxygen concentrators and portable medical devices powered by lithium batteries must comply with our dangerous goods requirements.

If an extra seat is required to carry the additional oxygen cylinders for your travel, you will need to purchase this seat.
Travelling with a breathing support machine such as a CPAP or BiPAP? Please refer to our assistive devices page for information.
We’re here to help make your journey a smooth one. Let us know if you require specific assistance with using a wheelchair, boarding the aircraft or getting to your seat.
Whether you've booked through jetstar.com, our contact centre, or a travel agent, you will need to let us know the type of assistance you require and if you’ll be bringing any mobility aids.
Please let us know which level of assistance you require. We will apply the relevant IATA code – WCHR, WCHS or WCHC – to your booking so that throughout your journey our team members know the level of wheelchair assistance you require.
All levels of wheelchair assistance include assistance from the aircraft to the baggage claim area at your destination. Of course, you are welcome to make your own way throughout the airport too.
Please note that there can be some delays in providing wheelchair assistance, particularly during busy periods, so please factor this into your travel arrangements.
If you haven’t requested specific assistance prior to travel, we might not be able to provide assistance on the day due to operational constraints and limitations.
Please contact us to let us know:
If your wheelchair or mobility aid weighs more than 32kg and is unable to stand in the upright position and operate in free wheel mode, we will not be able to carry it.
Jetstar Asia flights - Customers who are not checking in a wheelchair but require the use of a wheelchair at the airport for Jetstar Asia (3K) flights will need to pay a wheelchair service and hire fee.
Let us know if you’re travelling with an Accompanying Passenger before you fly so we can seat you together.
We take all reasonable care with mobility aids, but please note that our liability is limited for any damage caused during transit. You’ll need to make sure you have appropriate insurance to cover your mobility aid. For more information, please check our conditions of carriage.
If your mobility aid requires re-assembly, you or an Accompanying Passenger need to be able to do this as our staff will not be able to assist. You should consider removing and securing any customisations to your wheelchair to reduce the risk of damage to them.
We will do our best to assign a seat towards the front of the cabin for customers who request specific assistance.
Customers requiring wheelchair assistance will not be able to sit in emergency exit seating due to aviation safety requirements.
If you need to have your leg extended during the flight, you won’t be able to sit in an extra leg room/exit row seat so you may need to purchase extra seats. Please contact us for assistance.

If you have not requested assistance in advance, you may not be able to travel as planned due to operational constraints and limits which may apply to the number of customers we can provide wheelchair assistance to on each flight.
We will provide a slide board and our staff will assist with transfers between wheelchairs and into your aircraft seat. We do not use an eagle lift, hoists or manual lifting for customer transfers. If you need or prefer that level of assistance, you may need to travel with an Accompanying Passenger to assist you, or you may need to travel with another airline. Find out more about slide board transfers.
During busy periods, we ask for your patience and there may be delays before assistance can be provided.
If you’re blind or have a vision impairment, please let us know when you make your booking so we can provide any assistance you may require.
Travelling with a Service Dog? All Service Dogs need to be approved by Jetstar to be carried in the aircraft cabin. Make sure you let us know and prepare for your trip by finding out more about the requirements for travelling with your Service Dog.

If we’re not confident that you’re well enough to fly we may refuse to let you board the aircraft.
Please make sure you pack any medication you think you might need during your flight, both prescription and non-prescription.
Some illnesses or conditions may prevent you flying unless you provide a medical clearance. Know all about our medical clearance guidelines and forms.

Most medical conditions shouldn’t stop you from flying, but for certain conditions you’ll need to get medical clearance before your booking can be confirmed.
Please read the medical clearance guidelines to see if your illness or condition is likely to stop you travelling or if we’ll need you to get clearance before we let you fly.
The guidelines are attached to the medical clearance forms.

If you’re carrying hypodermic needles you’ll need to declare them at the airport security screening point and, where possible, produce documentation or identification to confirm your medical condition.
Medication should be clearly marked with a professionally printed identification label, a manufacturer’s name or a pharmaceutical label.
Please pack any medical supplies you’ll need for your journey in your carry-on baggage. See: Travelling with medication
An assistive device is any piece of equipment that assists a passenger with a disability in caring for themselves, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, breathing or carrying out any other daily activity.
Common assistive devices include walking canes or frames, crutches, rollators, breathing support machines (such as a CPAP or BiPAP), medical devices (such as respirators and ventilators), hoists, shower chairs, commodes (toilet chairs), inflatable pressure cushions, and medications.
Only certain assistive devices can be carried in the aircraft cabin – such as walking canes and crutches.
Some assistive devices cannot be carried in the aircraft cabin at all – this includes wheelchairs, non-collapsible walking frames/rollators and hiking sticks and poles.
These items will need to be checked in. If you use a hiking stick or pole as an assistive device, you will need to travel with an additional or alternative assistive device that can be carried in the aircraft cabin, such as a walking cane.

If you have an assistive device in your checked baggage, you will be able to collect it in the baggage claim area.
